Therapy Lab is looking for an Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology) to join our team.

​

You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Speech Pathologist in the delivery of client-focused interventions and programmes.

 

Role and Responsibility 

​

• Working with clients under the direction of the Speech Pathologist to assist with providing intervention both individually and in group programmes 

• Setting up and preparing for individual and group therapy sessions

• Participating in individual and group Speech Pathology sessions.

• Maintaining, monitoring and ordering Speech Pathology equipment

• Opportunity to assist with group programmes conducted by other Allied Health Disciplines 

• Undertaking clinic and administrative tasks

Essential Skills and Qualifications

​

• Currently studying in an undergraduate/ post-graduate Speech Pathology university course (with intention to progress to becoming a Speech Pathologist)

• Demonstrate administration / clerical skills

• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with families, other health professionals, and the community

• Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication

 

Desirable

​

• Current Victorian Driver’s license with own vehicle
